In memory of Michael Almond’s legacy
It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that Michael Almond passed away on the 7th of August.
Michael had a quiet sense of humour and was a friend to everyone. He dedicated his life to supporting his family, friends, community and also Architecture in the widest sense.
Michael was a true professional, in the exact meaning of the title. He had very high ethical standards, and he acted as a friend to his clients, taking on their problems as if they were his own. He always advised them to the best of his outstanding ability. He had an exacting eye for attention to detail and technical excellence. He had a thirst for investigating the built environment and acquiring knowledge.
Michael was a good friend and a trusted mentor to his colleagues, and he will be sorely missed by us all. We will do our best to keep alive his legacy of care for each other and his example of humane and professional excellence in our work.
