Background
Philip is a qualified Architect. He has successfully delivered multi-million-pound projects including the Grade II Listed Newtown Works conversion and various heritage refurbishments, all BIM-coordinated to ISO 19650 standards. Prior projects included focusing on residential and Listed properties, overseeing technical functions throughout project lifecycles, and developing conservation expertise working on significant historic buildings including the Palace of Westminster. He also served as an Assistant Tutor at Kent University, advising Master’s students on technical and sustainable strategies. His educational background combines architectural degrees from the University of Kent and Brighton University with specific construction knowledge
Areas of Practice
Philip joined H+R in 2025. His expertise spans both technical execution and creative design. His practice areas include conservation architecture, with specialised training from RIBA and SPAB in historic building assessment and repair. Philip specialises in complex refurbishments, particularly for heritage structures, backed by formal conservation qualifications and practical experience with listed buildings. Philip approaches projects with a solution-focused methodology, balancing architectural vision with budget constraints. He also specialises in consultation on remedial strategies and dispute resolution
