External Masonry Survey
The Problem
This expansive 18th century grade II listed purpose built hospital in London’s East End is to be refurbished on a major scale and transformed into an impressive Town Hall. The client required a highly detailed schedule of works for external masonry refurbishment to improve cost certainty, allow decision making and aid the tender process.
The Solution
Multiple photographs were taken using a telescopic pole to allow production of rectified images. These were marked-up using a coding system devised by H+R which referenced repair type and quantum.
Detailed schedule tables stating the type, location and quantity of necessary repairs were produced which corresponded with detailed drawings and overlaid stitched photographs. The type of repair was colour coded for ease of use. Overall more than 2,500 repairs were identified.
